By calculating the coordinates of the Kodesh Hakodashim (31° 46' 40.8" N, 35° 14' 7.44" E), situated close to the revered Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem, this device utilizes your current longitude and latitude in conjunction with an integrated digital compass to indicate this sacred orientation.
When you approach the approximate area, the illuminated display of the Hebrew word "Mizrach," translating to east, signifies proximity to the correct direction. Alignment guidance is further provided by a blue arrow that aligns with the word "Mizrach" as you adjust your positioning.
To optimize accuracy, ensure your iPhone is held parallel to the ground. If difficulties arise in determining direction, it is advised to relocate away from magnetic disturbances or gently wave the device in a figure-eight motion.
Users should exercise caution regarding potential limitations of the compass, particularly susceptibility to magnetic fields within the surrounding environment.
